Excilor Zeroverrue Freeze Excel is a medical device designed for the treatment of common warts and plantar warts using cryotherapy. Its nitrous oxide-based technology delivers intense cold to target the wart precisely, helping to remove it effectively. Easy to use, it is suitable for adults and children aged 4 and over, with parental supervision required for under-18s.
Targeted cryotherapy for wart removal
Featuring Ultra Freeze Technology™, Excilor Zeroverrue Freeze Excel applies intense cold directly to the wart. This stops the affected cells from multiplying and supports their gradual elimination. In most cases, a single application is enough. If needed, treatment can be repeated after a two-week interval, with a maximum of three applications per wart.
Simple and precise application
This device allows for accurate treatment of warts on the hands, arms, feet and plantar warts. Its design makes it convenient for home use. Excilor Zeroverrue Freeze Excel is intended for adults and children from 4 years old. It is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, diabetics, or those with circulation or coagulation disorders. Always read the leaflet before use and consult a healthcare professional if in doubt.
How to use it
Carefully read the instructions in the leaflet before use.
This device is for treating common warts (verruca vulgaris) on the hands, arms and feet, as well as plantar warts in adults and children over 4 years old. For best results on plantar warts (on the soles of the feet): hard skin over the wart makes it more difficult to freeze. For optimal results on plantar warts:
- Soak the affected area in warm water until the skin softens.
- Gently remove the skin above inward-growing warts on the sole of the foot (using a single-use nail file, which should be discarded after use).
- Ensure the wart and surrounding skin are completely dry before starting treatment. Do not file the wart itself, as this may cause pain and create a new hard surface.
Step 1: Preparation (first use only)
Without removing the cap, firmly turn the WHITE PART of the pen in a FULL TURN (360°) in the direction of the arrow until you hear a strong click. Once completed for the first use, this step does not need to be repeated.
Step 2: Activation
Place Excilor® ZeroVerrue Freeze Excel upright on a table, cap facing downwards. Hold the device firmly with one hand. With the other hand, press the white part continuously until you hear a hissing sound for exactly 2 seconds. Pressing for longer will waste doses. A shorter press reduces the freezing effect.
Step 3: Remove the cap
Remove the cap. The applicator tip should have a frosted appearance. Proceed immediately to Step 4. If there is no frosted appearance, replace the cap and repeat Step 2.
Step 4: Treatment using a timer or watch
Start a timer or use a watch to time the treatment. Apply for 15 seconds on thin skin (hands, fingers, toes, sides/top of feet and arms). Apply for 40 seconds on thick, calloused skin (soles of feet).
Note: It is normal to feel a painful, tingling sensation during treatment and for a short time afterwards.
Step 5: Storage and subsequent use
After use, wait at least 2 minutes, then remove and dispose of the pen’s applicator tip. Do not reuse the applicator tip. Insert a new applicator tip into the pen and replace the cap. The pen is now ready for further use. Store in the refrigerator and use any remaining doses within 6 weeks of first use.
Step 6: Monitor for 2 weeks
The core of the wart is quickly reached and destroyed by the low temperature. A single treatment may be sufficient. Older or larger warts may require more than one treatment, particularly if they are on the sole of the foot. The wart will slowly disappear after 10 to 14 days. If the wart or part of it has not disappeared after 14 days, repeat the treatment (Steps 2, 3 and 4). The skin may take longer to return to normal. If the wart is on the sole of the foot, walking on it may be painful. To ease discomfort, apply a round corn plaster (without medication) to the affected area. If the wart persists after 3 treatment cycles, stop using the product and consult a doctor.

WARNING - Do not apply for more than 15 seconds on thin skin (hands, fingers, arms, toes, tops/sides of feet) and more than 40 seconds on thick, calloused skin (soles of feet), i.e. plantar warts. Improper or prolonged use may freeze the skin too deeply and cause damage, leading to scarring and/or nerve damage. - Keep out of sight and reach of children. Contains small parts. - The Excilor® ZéroVerrue Freeze Excel pen must be used by an adult to treat warts in children. - Do not touch the cooled surface of the applicator tip. This may cause frostbite, burns and scarring to healthy tissue or blindness. - Do not use any applicator tips other than those provided. When using Excilor® ZéroVerrue Freeze Excel, always use the supplied applicator tip. Use 1 applicator tip per wart. Do not reuse the applicator tip. - Do not treat more than 1 wart per body part at a time. Any remaining warts can be treated separately with a 2-week interval between treatments. This minimises the risk of "over-freezing", which may cause burns and permanent scarring to healthy tissue. - Do not re-treat the same wart before 2 weeks. - Avoid contact with the eyes. Eye contact may cause blindness. Do not rub or touch your eyes if Excilor® ZéroVerrue Freeze Excel has been applied to your hands. In case of eye contact, rinse with water for 15 minutes and consult a doctor immediately. - For external use only. - Do not inhale nitrous oxide. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Inhaling the contents is dangerous – symptoms may include dizziness, confusion and headaches. - Do not ingest. The contents are toxic and may cause serious internal damage. In case of accidental ingestion, consult a doctor or contact a poison control centre immediately. - Nitrous oxide is a non-toxic, non-flammable gas, but it supports combustion in case of fire. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces. Do not smoke or use near an open flame. - Pressurised container. May burst if exposed to heat. Do not pierce or burn, even after use – the pen is under high pressure and cannot be opened. - Strictly follow the usage instructions. Improper use of Excilor® ZéroVerrue Freeze Excel may cause burns, permanent scarring to healthy tissue or blindness. - Failure to follow the usage instructions may cause serious injury. - Do not apply cosmetics or topical medications to the treated wart.
