CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream is a dermo-cosmetic formula designed to care for dry, rough and flaky skin, particularly in cases of keratosis pilaris. This topical treatment helps exfoliate dead skin cells while supporting the restoration of the skin’s protective barrier, stabilising skin texture and reducing excessive flaking.
Keratolytic synergy of 10 % urea and salicylic acid
This treatment works through a dual exfoliating action that combines 10 % urea and 0.5 % salicylic acid. Urea acts as a hygroscopic and keratolytic agent, helping to break down the bonds between corneocytes, while salicylic acid aids the removal of keratin clumps that can block pores. Together, they refine the skin’s micro-texture and reduce roughness from the first applications. Clinical studies show a 40 % improvement in skin smoothness and a 76 % reduction in dryness after regular use, helping to even out skin texture.
MVE technology and essential 3-ceramide complex
To balance the exfoliating action and maintain skin integrity, the formula includes 3 essential ceramides (1, 3, 6-II) and hyaluronic acid, which help strengthen the intercellular lipid matrix. The MVE (Multivesicular Emulsion) technology ensures controlled, time-released delivery of active ingredients within the stratum corneum for lasting hydration. Added niacinamide (vitamin B3) provides soothing properties to help minimise skin reactivity. How to use it
Apply this repairing body cream daily, as often as needed. Dispense a small amount of the rich cream into the palm of your hand and gently massage into the skin until fully absorbed. Focus on dry, damaged and/or rough areas. Ideal for dry, rough and flaky skin.
